Vancouver to Seattle OR??????
"CJ" wrote in message ... Planning a 5 day trip flying from Houston to Vancouver in mid-April staying in Whistler. Want to see lots of sights. Will have rental car. Should we drive south along the coast to Seattle or go up and down the coast between Vancouver, Victoria and Port Hardy??? Or both? Suggestions and comments welcome. I suggest you drive in BC. One reason is that you won't have to spend limited vacation time waiting in line at the border crossings (wait times can be quite long when crossing into the US on weekends). Another reason is that there really is no 'drive' along the Washington coast. You can drive more-or-less along the Strait to Neah Bay, but then have to drive mostly inland down HWYs 113 and 101 (there is a small stretch of coastal drive around Kalaoch) to Grey's Harbor area. If you are looking for scenic Pacific coast drives in the US then consider the Oregon and Northern California coasts. David S. |
