Default Info on Seattle

I am taking a cruise to Alaska in June and would like to stay in Seattle for a
few days. I want to book a hotel near the Seattle/Tacoma airport and wanted to
know if this a secure area of town. Also' I would like to know if there are
any areas of town to avoid. Thanks for the help.......

Default Info on Seattle

I took the alaska cruise last year and stayed in Vancouver, it was close to
the ship and US dollars will
buy better lodging there.

You are assuming that the OP is sailing from Vancouver, BC.

Note that a couple of cruise lines have started sailing out of Seattle
in the last 2 years, so that's probably why he wants Seattle info.

And NO, you don't want to stay anywhere near the SeaTac airport. Unless
you want to entertain paid company in your motel room ....

Get your cruise line to recommend a suitable hotel downtown, or in a
suburb like Bellevue.

Can;t say I've seen any int he area. Lots of nice hotels like the
Doubletree, Hampton Inn, Radisson (well not so nice).
