Discount coupons california??
Coming to LA in March and flying out from SFO 14 days later after a leisurely
drive up the coast. Just wondering if there are any sites out there that anyone can recommend for coupons/vouchers for eating out and hotels/motels etc. We already have 3 nights in Anaheim, 4 nights in SF, but nothing in between - thought we'd wing it for the rest. Either that or hit the internet cafes en route and priceline some of them TIA for any suggestions -- Elise http://uk.photos.yahoo.com/elisebutt |

Travel discount coupons books can be picked up from most visitor welcome
centres, and Dennys Restaurants. In my travels around most of the USA, I have found these to be particularly useful on the West Coast and in Florida. On line you can also go to http://www.roomsaver.com and print out before you travel. You will find that its best to go "by the seat of ya pants" because you always have back up of major chains at good rates. Get an idea here. http://www.motel6.com/ You can drop into any of the chains and pick up a printed guide. I Presume that you are having first trip there with limited the coastal route and stay off the interstate. A must stop-over would be Monterey, and Santa Barbara.. If ya can schedule it, a West Coast trip is not complete without Vegas (Best booked on priceline or expedia) And what about San Diego with an added experience of a train to and walk over to Tiauna. - A different world. Have fun, we always do..! -- ** Have a great day today, and and even better day tomorrow ** Regards .. Do you know if there are any sites for printing off restaurant coupons - I just like to make up a file of everything before we go - adds to the excitement - sad eh? Hi Elise.
From my experiences, I have not seen restaurant coupons anywhere apart from the free local tourist guide advertising booklets. They can be found at visitor centres or in "dispenser boxes" on almost every street corner in tourist locations. Usually not many restaurant coupons though. They are localised to eating places in the city area in which you are at the time. We are budget travellers, and there are thousands of very reasonably priced chain restaurant outlets (including Dennys), as well as food courts etc. Local diners are great for breakfast, if the motel/hotel does not have free continental breakfast.( Some only donut and coffee, some the full blown cereals, toasts, hot waffles etc.. We often buy a foam cooler, (only a few dollars) a thermos flask, and crackers, cheese, snacks, spreads and fruit for picnicking morning/afternoon tea and lunch. Whatever, you wont go hungry, and you have a lot of options. Big Kev "elise" wrote in message ... Fairly close but I have a few comments. The advertising booklets you
describe are pretty much available on line. There are time limitations but you can get an idea especially in the month prior to your departure. The coupons printed on line will work. Most of the restaurant coupons are marketed in a book which you purchase. They can be a good buy if you are in an area long enough or if you frequent their restaurants in a 10 day period or so. The service that I use is http://www.entertainment.com/index.c...n=showbooklist their books are sometimes available for a discount from the $20-35 list price.
