Default Traffic info from the Port of Seattle

FYI - Received this info from the Port of Seattle re our upcoming traffic
nightmare, which will also impact travel to&from the piers in Seattle August
10-29:
http://www.portseattle.org/seaport/c...ngerinfo.shtml

"I-5 Construction: Extensive I-5 Closures Are Only One Month Away
Plan ahead for your vacation needs from August 10 - 19"
http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/I5/...etBridgeRepair

My favorite WSDOT suggestion for enduring this upcoming "inconvenience":
"Take a vacation between Aug. 10 through 29"

I'm not cruising next month, just live near the piers and thought you who
are, would like to know. Cheers!

Default Traffic info from the Port of Seattle

Received this update today from the Port of Seattle

I-5 Construction Closures Begin on Friday, August 10 --
Airport Travelers Should Plan Ahead

Beginning at 10 p.m. on August 10 and running through August 29,
multiple lanes on northbound 1-5 will be closed between Spokane Street and
I-90. The around-the-clock closures are expected to severely impact traffic
on 1-5 and all alternative northbound routes.

If you plan on traveling to and/or from Sea-Tac Airport during this
period, consider using public or private shared transportation services, or
sharing taxicabs and limousines. If you must travel northbound by car, plan
an alternative route and allow extra time for the time. More information is
posted on the Department of Transportation's Web site, as well as a special
section detailing alternate modes of transportation and routes.
