Okay....

Car free is not ecologically sustainable. In parts of the world like India or the Himalayas where cars are rare or virtually non-existent, the people are stripping the environment to bare dirt just to cook their food. It's the random correlation game! Cars also cause whiter skin, snowstorms, and the use of the latin alphabet. miguel -- Hit The Road! Photos and tales from around the world: http://travel.u.nu |

John Munch wrote: When I posted what I posted in my earlier posts, I was predicting an ecologically-sustainable future. That's what I was predicting. How do you all know that cities in the US and Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America aren't going car-free. How do you all know this? A reasonable idea of what our modern cvilization requires for viability, a modicum of common sense, and a minimal knowledge of human nature? Of course, it's POSSIBLE that the dwindling of the fossil fuels upon which our civilization depends (before alternatives could be found) might cause a complete collapse of that civilization. (However, in the absence of some unknown catastrophic factors, that seems unlikely.) |

What planet do you live on ? England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales are going car-free next week. The Isle of Man is already car-free, as are Manchester, Birmingham, and central London. The M25 is now used for a pedestrian walkway and sidewalk curry stands. -- Joey Jolley The Jolley Family 381 North 450 West American Fork, Utah 84003 |
