French Tourists to Myanmar
"Bram" So, how many languages can the above average Englishman speak? As far as I know Alfred is German.. So his presence here proves that he speaks German and English. For people from N/W europe (like scandinavians, dutchmen and germans) it's not uncommon to speak three or more languages quite fluently. Most people in Flanders, even speak and write four, sometimes five languages. fluently While most frenchmen only speak french and some words in english. |

French Tourists to Myanmar
"Mort" Idiot ! Frogs dont go anywhere unless the people there can speak French, as they are too lazy or ignorant to learn English Well, 12,650 French people managed to enter Myanmar in 2001 - 2002, http://www.myanmar.com/Ministry/Hote...mstatistic.htm That's more French to Myanmar than Germans, Americans or Brits. Sjoerd In the tourism business, more people can speak French in Myanmar than in Thailand. Can hardly believe that but even when that is true: If one hotelowner or guide in Myanmar dare to start speaking french to me, i will not be his customer. And, yes, I have seen french tourists in Myanmar. They were rude and haughty to the friendly local people, didn't made any effort to understand the local traditions. Some of then even were loudly quarelling. One was shouting to a stewardess of Yangon Air for a reason, I can not remember. |
