Visa Ethiopia
Within a couple of weeks I will go on holiday to Ethiopia. I've planned to get my visa upon arrival at the airport. Has anyone experience with this in the last few months? Does it take a long time to get the visa? Jan |

I had been to Ethiopia several times. Usually I used to apply for a
visa in the embassy, paying 49$ for 3 month visa. The last time (6 month ago) I got visa on arrival. So here are your options: upon arrival in the airoport you can get one month visa, prices differ upon nationality. If you want to get a visa for more then one month they will keep your passport and give you a paper-receipt for the passport. With this paper you should go next day to the Immigration. If you are satisfied with one month visa, they will immediately stamp it and you are free to go. (Later on you still have the possibility of 1 month extensions). NOTE: Call Ethiopian embassy to check whether you can get visa upon arrival. NOTE2: You can get 1 month visa only arriving to Ethiopia by air. Would you like to arrive by road you should get the visa from their embassy. |
