Default bird strike at KPHX

one place you would not expect birds is at KPHX (PHX) Phoenix Arizona

yesterday a Dl (Delta) aircraft was struck by or impacted some type of
bird. The object inflected damage to the aircraft including a cracked
windshield severe enough to justify a return to the airport.

Impact caused pressurization difficulties.

I know in South east Arizona ther eare now lots of migratory birds
flying in large groups. I have also seen the canadian geese at some area
parks. There was a flock in south Chandler near a business complex with
an artifical lake.
