Airport security - waste of time?
I recently flew AA from Orlando to Miami to Dominican Republic. I put my
small pocket knife in my check-in luggage. Upon arival, I could not find it and assumed it had been taken out of the checked luggage. When I got home to Florida I unpacked my carry-on backpack and there it was. It had been screened at least 4 times as I passed through security, and it was never confisciated, or even apparently noticed. So much for security. "Geoff Miller" wrote in message ... I would rather have them error [sic] on the side of caution. So would I. To that end, I'd like to see them quit screwing around with this politically correct random-search idiocy and instead, search each and every passenger who's of Arab descent, who has an Arab name, or has Middle Eastern features. If the Arab community and the liberals don't like that, too bad. The stakes are too high to let policies like this be dictated by cravenness or political expediency. Airport security - waste of time?
Well.....I guess we should just take down all the security screening
checkpoints then. While we're at it, lets fire all the police officers since a lot of crimes are never solved. Matt "CLK" wrote in message om... "Steve" wrote" Excerpts from "Ask the Pilot: Everything You Need to Know About Air Travel," by Patrick Smith snip Which reminds of a joke that's making the rounds about Security arresting a math teacher for being a member of the Al-Ge-Bra organization, distinguished by its fondness for steely-edged compasses and indecipherable x-y code. [Rog'] Sadly people are just stupid enough to go for that. There was a situation here in the UK when a hospital doctor had her house firebombed because a would be vigilante didnt know the difference between a paedotrician and a paedophile Keith How about the case long ago where somebody started to chuck throwing stars at people after watching some kung-fu movies? Ever wonder why your kids watched a show titled Teenage Mutant *Hero* Turtles in the UK, while it was named Teenage Mutant *Ninja* Turtles in the US............. |
