summer holidays in Bologna
Make credence recognised that on 12 Apr 2007 03:40:38 -0700,
has scripted: Come to Bologna in July and August-you can rent directly from the owner an all accessorized private apartment - air conditioned, Sat TV, broadband Internet etc. - and visit all major atractions all around in less than 1,5 hours - Florence, Venice, Milan, Verona, Ravenna, Rimini and the adriatic coast, Cinque Terre (a little farer). Visit our website www.zanasi.com/house or send an email to . We will be happy to help you to plan your holiday in Bologna! Bologna is a smart choice for holidays in Italy, avoiding beaches and more touristic cities crowded by Italian families on holidays. Remember that schools in Italy stop at about June 10th and re-open at mid September. The most popular period for summer holidays for Italian people is from mid-July to mid-August. But in summer you always find most of rural fairs, music festivals and religious popular festivities, most of them to enjoy free in squares and streets! Somo suggestions? Porretta soul festival (1 hour by direct train from Bologna) - Lucca summer festival (starring Elton John and Norah Jones) - Verona Arena (starring The Who). But in Bologna itself there is a rich calendar of events - Festival Bologna estate Bč - beside all private concerts in pubs and cafe - like Cantina Bentivoglio and others - especially for jazz lovers. Bologna in July and August??? It's red hot, humid, and packed with mosquitoes! -- --- DFM - http://www.deepfriedmars.com --- -- |

summer holidays in Bologna
Have you been there? There are many city parks
and hills just ouside to refresh. Mosquitos? Not in centre town. Anyway, it's a different choice than going to the beaches or to the mountains, you can stay inside a city that is not packed with tourists and use intensively the train - Bologna is the major hub in Northern Italy - to travel all around and see other cities of arts. summer holidays in Bologna
Make credence recognised that on 12 Apr 2007 06:57:02 -0700,
has scripted: Have you been there? Yes. There are many city parks and hills just ouside to refresh. Mosquitos? Not in centre town. Yes there are. Anywhere on the Pianura has mosquitoes. Anyway, it's a different choice than going to the beaches or to the mountains, There are good reasons why everyone heads for the coast in these months. you can stay inside a city that is not packed with tourists and use intensively the train - Bologna is the major hub in Northern Italy - to travel all around and see other cities of arts. Bologna is cool for sure, but in July, August, it's completely horrid. That's why there are no tourists (or locals) there then. -- --- DFM - http://www.deepfriedmars.com --- -- |
