Me too. Pretty much the middle, and the west are like that.

And don't, for god's sake, ask them any question involving
basic geography.

The region has *counties* that are bigger than entire European
nations. Also, unlike those European nations, America hasn't
been overrun by more barbarian hordes than your mother's nether
regions. Therefore there's no compelling need for any random
American to know or care that your ****ant little Europeon [sic]
countries even exist, let alone be up on precisely where they're
located.

Guess what country is bigger. Give up? Aust-****ing-tralia you yank
moron.

I don't understand what this has to do with a Europe vs US size
discussion?

FWIW, you are WRONG.
The US land area is larger than Australia

Look it up.

I did it for you, not that Wikipedia is 100 percnet accurate, but

or try

http://geography.about.com/od/countr...gcountries.htm

Now, quote a source showing Australia having a larger land area.

That's all right. You're forgetting that in the Antipodes, the schools use
South Polar Projection maps which make Australia look extremely large. It
helps to alleviate the chip on the national shoulder and works as well as
some drugs to overcome the rampant xenophobia and locally promoted level of
ignorance.

TMO

by my 'Peters' projection map they seem about equal
