You could stay in Estoril or Cascais and take the suburban train to Lisbon
for visits.
Nice beach at Estoril, nice pedestrian street in Cascais and pleasant
neighbourhoods
Along the coast just out of Estoril going towards Cascais, super fish
restaurant.
You will never dislike fish anymore.
Be sure to drink vinho verde with it.

You could stay in the main part of the city near Rossio and Avenida da
Liberdade or you stay in the EXPO area (p.e. Hotel VIP Arts or Tivoli
Tejo - ask for a room to the front and in the upper floor to get a
beautiful view to the river and the Vasco da Gama bridge).
Or you stay outside of the city in Estoril or Cascais and take a train
into the city.

Public transport is very good.

Places to see in Lisbon.

The castel in Lisbon, Belem, Estoril, Cascais, Sintra.

Great restaurants ETC.

Depending what you want. In the castel is a very good (and expensive)
restaurant. The restaurant in the Hotel Tivoli Tejo (top floor) is
very good and offers a great view.
If you are in the city don't stay in the central area where most
restaurants are prepared for tourists, go around in the city a look
for small restaurants with no foreign languages menues where the
persons of the area around are eating and you get a good food for a
very good rate.

Greetings from Cologne

Andreas
