I lived in Darwin for many years and travelled to Bali every 6 months or so. The Balinese people are a gentle and proud people.

Bali thesedays to Australians is not an attractive destination.

The Bali bombing is something we overcame and were willing to accept as something that was done by extremists.

However many Australians are now having a very hard time accepting what the Indonesian justice system has done to Shapelle Corby.

While she is convicted of a crime she has not committed Bali will feel the effects of a loss of tourism from Australia.

No Australian will travel to a country that offers 20 years in jail for a crime that was not committted.

Shapelle Corby is a victim of an organised international drug smuggling operation and the Indonesian justice system needs to recognise that fact and free her to come home to Australia as an innocent person.

While she is in jail over there thousands of Australians will not travel to Indonesia and most of Australia will not contribute to Indonesian tradgedies such as the damage done by the recent Tsunami.

This is fact.
