Default Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater: Is tour required?

I'm interested in photographing Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater from
the outside. I took the in-depth tour many many years ago, and while
it was interesting inside, I found the outside views more appealing.
The problem is, I don't recall if I was still on "the tour" or if I
was on my own afterwards when I walked down some steps and crossed a
creek to photograph the house downstream.

If you can wander the grounds, within reason, without taking a tour,
is there a charge for this? Also, where is the parking lot, in
relation to the house? I'm guessing it's near the Visitor's Pavilion,
which I've read(I don't recall) is about 1/4 mile from the house.

Anyway, I'd appreciate info from anyone who has been to Fallingwater
lately. I'd enjoy hearing where you consider the best vantage points
for photographing the house from the exterior.

Also, as I recall there was some minor construction going on at the
time to keep the house from falling into the falls. but I don't
believe any of the construction equipment ruined the shots I took.

Hi,

I tried to find an answer on http://www.paconserve.org/index-fw1.asp, but Couldn't.

I did find the number for Visitor Services: 724-329-8501. They should be able to help you
