Not a game?

game
a form of play or sport, especially a competitive one played according to
rules and decided by skill, strength, or luck.

notice the "decided", PC simulations are er sinulations. On this one Mixi
is right and huffing and puffing things like "ive been in a real aeroplane"
wont make any difference.

Nope. It's a game player.

demonstrate the gameplay

It's a piece of office machinery you play games on.

Nope. The software is legitimate simulation software, not just a game,
although it is sometimes marketed that way for broader appeal. This is
especially true with add-ons.

Stop being silly.

Real flight simulators are vast expensive machines that cost a fortune.

no, comprehensive flight simulators are that. MSFS is a modest simulation
with no gameplay. You can argue its poor, you cant argue its not a
simulation.

It comes from their game group.

so what, its a leisure product.

What do you mean "sometimes" marketed as
a game? When have you EVER seen it advertised to the airlines as a
simulator?

Its not aimed at airline pilot training, its a simulation for amusement,
(although quite a few amateur pilots do use it, unless the people on its
newsgroup and websites are all lying, which is possible).

And they're computer games- and marketed as such.

Absolutely- it's aimed, according to its marketing at "Gamers and
simmers of all ages and skill levels."

OK- simmer. I suppose I like that term.
