I mostly agree with dpc, but I've recently been to downtown Racine, and, for a small midwest city, Racine
has a nice downtown. Also, Kenosha has a historic rail streetcar loop downtown, leading to a waterfront
park. Both cities have outlets of the best small chain fast food company anywhe Culver's Butterburger.

Does SC Johnson Wax still offer tours of its buildings in Racine?

There are several outlet malls for shopping at hwy 50 and I-94. You
may enjoy taking the Metra train to downtown Chicago (about $5.00 each
way) and have a lot more to do/see for a day trip.

If you are into barbershop quartet singing, Kenosha is home to the
spebsqsa The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of
Barbershop Quartet Singing in America.

(usual disclaimer) I'm not a barbershop singer, just heard of it.

If he wants the best hamburger, he should another 20 miles north to
Milwaukee and visit Kopps. Great burgers.

.... and even better custard.
