QM2 Repairs

Has anyone seen anything regarding the
repairs needed for the QM2 and when /
where they will be accomplished?

Hi John,

They will not be done in the near future. Cunard has been notifying
travel professionals the changes in the itineraries.

Saw the following

Cunard announced two sailing would be
canceled so a propeller pod problem can
be repaired. A 12 day Mediterranean
cruise in May will be replaced with a
six day Norwegian fjords voyage, and a
seven night Caribbean cruise in November
has been canceled . The propulsion
problem has affected other schedules.

It's about cruise lines lived up to their obligations and are finally
telling consumers about changed itineraries. I guess the sitin/mutiny
had an effect

No. It's about the fact that it takes time to make arrangements to put
a ship the size of QM2 into a drydock that can handle her, so that the
damaged pod can be removed and then later re-attached. Then, they can
determine which sailings are impacted.

the removal and re-installation of the affected pod will take place at
Blohm + Voss shipyard in Hamburg, Germany.
