Default Voyager of the Seas from CapeLiberty REVIEW

I went on a inaugural cruise from Cape Liberty... on the Beautiful Voyager of
the Seas.....
Below are some of my thoughts I wrote down from my cruise, This was a crusie of
Travel Agents and Worklers of the Port, firefighters . IT was a great cruise.
But here is the thoughts I had... again these are my thoughts only..

Embarkation
Knowing this was the first sailing of VOyager from the Cape Liberty Port I
expected Chaos.. Driving to the port from the Philadelphia area was a cinch!
WOW how much better does it get then this! NJ turnpike North to exit 14A stay
to the right and follow the signs and there it is that beauty of a ship! I
still get teay eyed when I se the ship! Signs were great. We entered Cape
Liberty through 2 check points quick and easy. went to luggage drop off, left
my friend there adn I went and parked the car, shuttle brought me back tot he
building. It was seamless..For being in its infancy I was impressed. Can only
get better. the SIGNS that Royal Caribbean ahd in olace like BILLBOARDS were
colorful and FUN and funny little Quips on them! they took a abandoned
building and WRAPPED it in a billboard! WOW. WHen other ships sail past they
will definitly see this!
WE checked in and went right to thebuses that took us to the ship.bands were
playing this was nice.. Our stateroom was a Promenade cabin 7561 right across
from the 24 hour cafe Promenade. VERY quiet room. I wanted to exoerience a
Promenade room since I been in ocean, inside, balcony and suites so this was
the natural idea to try. IT is lovely for 2 people. You can watch the people
adn the parade from here it was great! We went to check out the ship. I ahve
sailed this ship 3 times and the girl with me never been on a cruise, Needless
tos ay she was CRUISESTRUCK like all of us here! She will be booking her family
on a cruise. This ship is just out of dry dock and she looked great. there were
a very very few spots I think they missed near the pool with that astroturf
kinda stuff but that is it, Ben and TOm would be oroud but they would ahve
notices the things that were not done I amsure. and the Aquariums have no fish
now. just the vegetations. too hard and expensive to keep up.

The real star of thsi ship was the staff. I was enamored from the moment I got
on at how wonderful they were. WHite glove service on that first day ssomeone
manning the elevators taht first day all day with white gloves. But the
friendliness from everyone down to the mechanics was astounding. The
remembering of names when asked was a step above of the last Carnival cruise
I was on a few weeks ago. The staff moved about with Diction and manners,
always a polite Hello and a Welcome. One of the BEst staffs I ahve ever
cruised with. and the Crusie Director was a HOOT. Loved this guy. When sitting
in Cleopatras needle one of the staff that waS new asked if he could join us,
he was from Australia and what a wonderful young guy with great convdersation.
I liked how the staff mingled.
Another thing that was suprising is that the Food was MUCH better aboard this
ship. THe Slow roasted PRime Rib was so tendder you only needed a fork.
the Chicken Philadelphia had rave reviews, and RCCL has teh BEST escargo.
Carnivals were slim in comparison.
RCCL food has been not as as good but I think its who is the cook in charge per
ship or something.
Entertainment: WOW we saw Scott Record if he is on your sailing MAKE SURE you
go to his show 2 standing ovations! WHAT a Performer! he is a comedian,
impressionist and singer, looks like Danny Devito and will have you in stitches
and mesmerized by his beautiful voice. I did not want the show to end.
THe Mardi Gras parade was good we viewed it from the sport Bar they were going
around giving out Jello shots! WOW!
Went to the Casino and donated my $20! hahha I won $100 on Carnival so I wil
saY I Like carnvals casino better haha!
went to Disco and to bed at 3 am YAWN...
up at 9 ( overslept) and went to a few seminars about waht is new with RCCL...
The topic of course is ULTRA VOYAGER which will not be taller or wider but
will be lengthed in the midship area. they would nto say ANYTHING abuot this
ship keeping it VERY secret. went to Johnny rockets for lunch what a great
milkshake and chili dog!
then to ben and jerrys for some Chunky Monkey Ice CreAM yes this is a pay for
ice cream but it was free due to the Travel agent thingy so a cone was good!
but right next door is SPRINKLES free soft serve and toppings
There ws talk about ROYAL CARIBBEANS presence may be seen in the Philadelphia
port area, but they did not elaborate.
Went up to the gym and then to the jacuzzi... THen to dinner and the Ice show
and the main show and teh Disco which was PACKED. and to bed at you guessed it
3am! Wake up at 7am shower and dress go to BReakfast and then to get the
luggge to leave. easy getting off and onto the shuttle and through this big
building with COLOR signs up on the ceiling, but we did carry ons... then out
the door to the shuttle to the car but we walked it was a nice morning adn not
far at all. GoodBye for Now Voyager I will be back again!

Any Questions just email me and I be happy to answer anything for you!

Default Voyager of the Seas from CapeLiberty REVIEW

Great review Sue. Ei and I are on the ship June 13, and now you have
given me something to get excited about. An all night disco is right up
my alley. How was the music on the ship? Was there a good rock and/or
reggae band?

Default Voyager of the Seas from CapeLiberty REVIEW

My family is going July 2

Quick question. Is there a place for someone to drop us off or will we
have to take a shuttle into the port?

Default Voyager of the Seas from CapeLiberty REVIEW

Sue, thanks for posting your review. You've made it all sound so
wonderful that I can hardly wait till 6/13!

I love RCI ships but have had complaints about the food and the lack of
maintenance in the past; it sounds like neither of these will be a
problem on our upcoming cruise.
