Default Ryndam Voyage Cancelled

This is just in via FAX.

The ms Ryndam voyage of 10 October 2004 has been cancelled. This was scheduled
to be a 10 day Sea of Cortez Cruise roundtrip from San Diego.

We have no information as to why this Cruise was cancelled.

Weird, they list that one and another one at the same time in Europe as
being sold out on their website. I wonder if there is some significance to
the dates?

Even weirder, they have a bunch of cruises during that time frame listed as
sold out

Oct 10 - 20 Mexico
and in the Med:
Oct 14 to 20
16 to 18
19 to 31
24 to Nov 2

Did they really sell them all out this far in advance?

Mike:
It would be astounding if in fact these voyages are sold out when Princess and
Royal Caribbean are begging for passengers on similar voyages.

Most likely the ships have been chartered for someone or something.

Seven or eight ships at once? They have a lot of ships marked full at that
time.

When are the Olympics? I remember reading that cruise ships were going to be
used for hotels in Greece.

Default Ryndam Voyage Cancelled

I got the news this morning. ...I booked a veranda mini-suite on this
particular cruise the last week of April. ...At the time, there were
only 2, Cat. B cabins left. I had initially tried for the Riviera
cruise, but found all the mini-suites taken. ...This coming fall, HAL
has only 2 -- 10 day cruises slated for the Mexican coast: The Sea of
Cortez one, and the Riviera. ...After hearing the awful news from my
travel agent this morning ( Cancellaton), I immediately asked her to
try once again for a mini-suite on the Ryndam for the "Riviera" sailing
on Oct. 20th. .... It appeared there are now mini-suites available.
Weird!! ...Plus, I had no trouble getting an early seating in the dining
room.
Perhaps the Ryndam was chartered once again as it was last spring by a
bunch of "rich" poker players. ...Not fair, but at least I now have
the cruise I originally wanted. ----I think. ...Jon
