Default Going to Cancun - tips ?

I am going to Cancun next week. I will be staying at Sunscape Puerto
Aventuras.

I plan to join some local tours but what company is reliable ? AMSTAR?
Is tour price fixed or can be negiotatiable ?

I will likely buy some sourveirs on the street
how much can i bargain , 50% off ?
Any tips/suggestions would be great

Thanks

Can't help you out here, I've prefer to find catch a bus from the local
station to whatever attraction I've been interested in seeing. DIY tours
so-to-speak.

Those offered through AI resorts are normally fixed-price tours. You may
stand a better chance at haggling over price if you've got a group of people
all looking to go on the same tour.

If you stay in the really touristy areas, depending on the item, a 50%
discount would still be a rip-off. If you're the adventurous type, my
suggestion to you would be to stray away from the tourist areas.

You may also want to try posting to rec.travel.latin-america since this
group doesn't officially cover Mexico.

Enjoy Cancun!

or rec.travel.caribbean which also sometimes covers Cancun since it is
on the Caribbean Sea.
