Default Comair Flight Attendant accused of being a terrorist

November 17, 2004
Flight Attendant K. flew a (high-speed) trip with Linda B.

December 4, 2004
Comair removed Mr. K. from a plane after Linda B. made false
allegations about him.
Mss. B. a few days after the trip with Mr. K. claimed among other
things that Mr. K. had told her QUOTE during the flight: "He hated
white people, but he didn't hate white men because he was gay."
This accusation was defamatory and made no sense to begin with.
Comair management should have known alone from the absurdity of this
particular statement, that her allegations were most likely false.
Mss. B. also claimed that Mr. K. had said that he wanted to kill the
president. She also said that he said that he hated Americans and that

was proud not to be an American.

(Comair supervisors, investigators and managers had over 15 days to
notify Mr. K. about not going to work, but instead purposely opted to
publicly humiliate him by removing him (terrorist suspect) from an
aircraft full of passengers. Comair management knew all this time
ahead of his scheduled workday, that they intended to meet with him,
investigate him, and release him from active duty. Comair management
purposely held off from notifying him, let him check into his assigned
flight, let him proceed to his aircraft, and let him board passengers.
Also, between November 17 and December 4 Mr. K. flew over seven
additional high-speeds.)

Comair purposely lied to the Union and Mr. K. when they removed him
with the false pretense that his Visa was expired. On this Saturday,
December 4, 2004, there were only two low ranking supervisors at the
Comair in-flight facilities.

Comair failed to properly train those supervisors about document
knowledge (passports, visas, green cards,) as the supervisor who
interrogated Mr. K. had no clue what a Green Card (I-551) was.

The supervisor kept asking him about his work visa when it was not
necessary to have one. When the Mr. K. reiterated that he had a Green
Card she responded by asking: "what is that?" Despite repeated
attempts to explain the documentation that Mr. K. had in his
possession, she made him write and sign a statement that he did not
have a visa.

December 8, 2004
Meeting with Susan M. and Union. The Comair HR manager engaged in a
lot of possibly illegal questioning, among others what his political
believes were. At that point, Mr. K. was made aware of the charges
against him. Mr. K. repeatedly tried to make the investigator aware
that the allegations sounded suspicious, because they made no sense.
Mr. K. also tried to point out the absurdity of the entire
investigation, indicating that he was neither Arab nor Muslim to begin
with. To the charge that he hated white people he stated that his
father was white and his mother of Hispanic Caribbean origin. Mrs. S.
however on the sole basis that he was born abroad disregarded his
claims indicating that his not being American after September 11 was
reason enough to take any allegation of threat seriously. She said
that his testimony was not good enough and told him that the FBI/TSA
would contact him in the days ahead.

December 18, 2004
Comair unjustly suspended his travel benefits and his ID badge on false

pretenses. Comair's Anne-Marie S. falsely cited that these actions
should have been taken during his first meeting with company
representatives; that his Comair and CVG ID's should have been
confiscated at that time. Furthermore, in violation of CVG airport
police and TSA regulations, Anne-Marie S. never asked him to turn over
the ID badges. She let him keep the badge.

(During a Grievance hearing in March 2005, Management admitted that
these actions were only taken after Linda B. brought further false
allegations that Mr. K. followed her.)

December 28, 2004
Susan M. and Anne-Marie S. called him at home in Miami and indicated
that the investigation came up empty handed. They said that they
wanted him to return immediately to Cincinnati so Mr. K. could pick up
his scheduled trip. Susan M. told him not to bring funny anti-Bush
material to work. Susan M. sort of blamed him for Linda B.'s
wrongdoing. Management did not provide further instructions other than

for him to be back in base as soon as possible.

(During a Grievance hearing in March 2005, Susan M. was caught lying
when she first testified at the beginning of the two- hour
questionnaire, that during the phone conversation she had told him not
to talk about the case in the future. During further interrogation by
the union representative., towards the end of the meeting, Susan M.
started reading notes, which compiled details about the actual
conversation that they held on that day with Mr. K.. Susan M.'s
false testimony has been documented by the Teamsters Union, and were
witnessed by higher Management representatives including Joel K.- Vice
President In-flight Services and Charles F.- Director of Labor
Relations.)

January 6, 2005
Mr. K. started flying again.

January 17, 2005
Comair management found out that Mr. K. was trying to hire an attorney
to sue Linda B. Susan M. and management retaliated by unjustly
suspending him again.

February 16, 2005
After two months of illegal, outrageous und unconscionable actions by
Susan M. and Anne-Marie S., such as mistreatment, intimidation,
harassment, racism, bigotry, public degradation, schedule manipulation,

pay manipulation, wrongful suspension, and in retaliation for trying to

defend his legal right to pursue justice, as well as for Comair
receiving fines from TSA and CVG police, Management terminated his
employment after further trampling on his dignity by wrongfully and
unnecessarily requesting the presence of an FBI agent by the name of
Dough Warner, who also stated that he "did not understand why Comair
wanted him to be there".

March 9, 2005
Grievance Hearing

March 23, 2005
Despite the severity of the unlawful actions of Susan M. and other
Management, Joel K. denied reinstatement of his employment.

A three million dollar lawsuit was filed on March 8, 2005 in the United

States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky at Covington

against Comair and Linda B., the flight attendant who made the false
allegations.

Well, management incompetence doesn't make for a well run airline.

Wow. I wonder why this story is getting such a hostile reception
here. Did it strike a nerve? Does it dissolution your impression of
flight attendants? Does it shake your faith in flying?

Hey! Please make some effort with your snipping. You completely
deleted what I said and then somehow managed to show that what someone
else said came from me.

Here is my post with the prior comment:

"Well, management incompetence doesn't make for a well run airline.

As you can see the comment that you include came from Greg Johnson not
from me. Try VERY HARD to not make it appear that individuals said
things that others said instead. Especially when the direction of the
comment is reversed.
