My wife and I (Sr. Citizens) would like to take a guided tour of
Australia and NZ. Can anyone recommend a reputable company?

Being an Aussie I can't say I've tried any local tour operators but the following web sites are operated by local government agencies. Any tours booked via these sites should be on the up and up.

http://www.queenslandholidays.com.au/index.cfm
http://www.visitnsw.com.au
http://www.visitvictoria.com/
http://www.travelnt.com/
http://www.tourismwa.com.au
http://www.discovertasmania.com.au/

Some of the bigger travel agents are

www.harveyworld.com.au
www.jetset.com.au
www.qantas.com.au
www.flightcentre.com.au

Friends of mine (from Australia) toured NZ last December with Evergreen
Tours: had a wonderful time and were very impressed. It was
predominantly an older age group (definitely not your "party all night"
sort of tour!) Their website is at -
