Slow Travel: A Novel Concept?
Make credence recognised that on Tue, 10 Apr 2007 11:04:31 +0100,
(David Horne, _the_ chancellor (*)) has scripted: Alan S wrote: Even if you have just driven down a road which became a track which became a field with a shepherd gesturing oddly... In Venice getting lost was often more interesting than being in a crowded piazza. Agreed. BTW, not to nit-pick, but I was interested to read (I might have known it before, but forgot!) that Venice only has one piazza- the obvious one. The others are called campos. Not to nit-pick, but they are "campi" actually. -- --- DFM - http://www.deepfriedmars.com --- -- |

Any anti-pigeon action going on, feel free to post a link to the video! -- (*) ... of the royal duchy of city south and deansgate David Horne- http://www.davidhorne.net (don't email yahoo address) usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk |

There's very few birds in Leiden though, it's always struck me how much more waterfowl of all sorts in Kingston than in Leiden. Jim. |

On the days when they sort the green rubbish the sky is black with seagulls. They regularly round up and relocate the geese from the Leiden canals. Ah, that would explain it, but why? Now I'm no longer homeless the flats I live in are proud of all the stuff they've added to encourage birds (swans / geese / ducks and other waterfowl) Jim. |

Unfortunately I just have one of the flats, other people live in the others - not that I've met any of them, this is London (well I'd get a vote for the mayor if I chose to vote here) I know what you mean. When I lived in London, I knew very few of my neighbours. Actually, now I live in Manchester, I know very few of them either. In a way, I like it like that- but the building seems deserted though, I very rarely bump into anyone. Just noticed that google earth has updated the Manchester pictures, so the building I live in is there now, but a couple across from me are still parking lots... -- (*) ... of the royal duchy of city south and deansgate David Horne- http://www.davidhorne.net (don't email yahoo address) usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk |
