Booking hotels in Beijing

We are interested in going to Beijing the second part of Oct. What's
the best way to book a hotel from the US? We are not interested in
arriving without a booking. We know eLong already. Are there some
other sites? We are looking at mid range hotels in the US $100 range.

ctrip is another site. Be sure to read the reviews in the Chinese
language section of those sites- often they are more numerous and
detailed than English language reviews.
