Default United miles without flying?

I'm hoping someone has been in this situation before, and can offer
advice:

I'm around 650 miles from qualifying for United Airlines Premier
status this year (I've been a Premier member forever). A round-trip ticket
to anywhere (I live in SFO) would put me over the top... but I don't want
to go anywhere! I'd even be willing to buy a ticket that I don't use
(maybe to donate to charity or something?) -- but it doesn't seem that
there's any way to get those qualifying miles without actually getting onto
an airplane and going somewhere.

Any ideas? Thanks...

If you've flown since October 15th you can pay $100 and have any miles flown
on United (not code share) doubled for status for next year. Details on the
Mileage Plus section of their website under the EQM offer.

Other then that, you have to fly.

Does United have the Dining For Miles plan? You register,
eat in certain restaurants, and earn miles. No flying involved.

I seem to get miles for shopping at Safeway. Sign up for a Safeway card and
lend it to all your friends. Not sure those miles are eligible for Premier
status but it's worth a try.

You have to fly for them to count for status, Idine miles won't count for
status.

You have to fly for status miles, the grocery miles won't count for status.
