Default Traveling to U.K. - Cash Budget and Euros vs Pounds

My daughter (13 y/o) is going to England/Ireland/Scotland/Wales for a 3
week trip with People-to-People next month and I have a question on her
cash budget and Euros vs Pounds. Here is her budget:

Snacks $140 (20 days @ $7 per day)
Laundry $20
Misc $40 (postcards/aspirin/other)
Total $200

Any souveniers, clothing, and other purchases greater than $10 she will
be using a Visa Buxx card, so the cash is really only needed for
smaller purchases.

Questions
1. Is $200 in cash sufficient?
2. Have I missed anything in the budget?
3. Most importantly, how should I split the $200 between Pounds and
Euros?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

$200 dollars will get about £115 or so and providing she is not having to
pay cash for anything other than what you say should be sufficient.

There is no point bringing euros as the UK still deals in sterling and euros
are rarely accepted in shops.

But she'll also be visiting Ireland.

How is she expecting to do this Laundry.

If she's going to spend 2 hours in a Laundromat watching her
clothes go round and round this will be enough. If she expects
someone else to do it, it won't be. You don't get 50 cents a shirt
offers in UK Dry Cleaners.
