Has Anyone Rented Through "Cheepcar" In Britain?

Has anyone experience renting a car in the UK through Cheepcar? Any
problems? Any praise? Any information at all?

Can anyone suggest a less expensive or more reliable car rental
consolidator for renting a car in England or Scottland?

not sure about Cheepcar, but have you tried easycar.com ? It's only good if
you plan to pick up and return the car at the same place, though !

Avoid easycar like the plague! Heard nothing but bad things about them!

Sorry, I disagree with this statement. While by no means an
uncrticial admirer of Stelios (see previous posts in this forum), I
nonetheless feel obliged to report that on the 2 occasions I have
rented from easycar it has been quick and painless.

The price can be phenomenally low if you tweak your collection and
drop-off times and don't have to drive long distances. And there are
no hidden charges: unfair terms and countless snares for the unwary
certainly, but if you keep your wits about you, nothing bad will
happen.

BTW, I got my deposit back both times, automatically and on the date
promised
