Vietnam for single (older) woman

Hi, group -

I am going to Vietnam in February 2010 with a Sierra Club group.

Planning to arrive 1 week early to "do" Ankor Wat and the Delta,
and leave 1 week after to "do" the highlands - Sapa,etc.

Would appreciate feedback from any single women who may have
followed any part of these North-South extras.

I'm told Vietnamese have great respect for elders, so I trust
there would be no problem on the portions of the trip before
and after the organized tour, when I will be traveling on my own.

Am not shy about single travel; have done plenty of it, but
not alone in Asia.

I'm sure you've already planned for this, but you do realise that
Angkor Wat is in Cambodia, not Vietnam?

If you leave Vietnam to go to Cambodia, you'll need to make sure you
have a visa that allows you to enter Vietnam again to complete the
rest of your itinerary.
