Default Scotland and Ireland September 2005

Hi,

My fiance and I are going to be travelling to Ireland and Scotland in late
September for 18 days on our honeymoon.

Can anyone recomend any interesting sites to see that are off the beaten
path that most tourists don't see.

Thanks
Barrie

What sorts of things interest the two of you? Scenery, history,
architecture, birdwatching, music, etc?

Pretty much everything.

Sleep out all night in Glasgow Necropolis
Take a guided tour of Torness Nuclear Power Station
Watch a debate in the Scottish Parliament
Go on an Orange Walk
Go shopping in the Almondvale Centre in Livingston
Look round the museum of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh
Wait in Coburg Street, Leith in a leather miniskirt and see who you meet
Go up Calton Hill, Edinburgh in leather trousers and see who you meet

Pretty much everything.

The primary asset of the western highlands and islands are
landscape. Climb a mountain, (maybe Ben Lomond) and get out to
one of the more out of the way islands, North Uist maybe, a
pleasant ferry ride from Skye.

Take a picture of yourself next to the Erskine Bridge? :-)

I guess I left myself open for suggestions like this!!!
"Wait in Coburg Street, Leith in a leather miniskirt and see who you meet"
Personnally I was thinking just my leather thong.
LOL
Thanks for all of your help we are really looking forward to our trip.

If you do London too, you can get a leather kilt in Greenwich
Market, just the thing to meet interesting people in :-)
