Clueless first-timer needs advice about cruises please

escribió: The way I see cruising, is that you're kind of sharing your vacation with a couple thousand other people, almost like taking a bus tour in Europe but on a larger scale. Sure, everyone has their own agenda, and there's lots of time to pursue independent interests, activities, etc. but you're still sharing the space, so you need to take into account how your behavior will impact your fellow travellers. In that way, it is little different than vacationing in the National Forest. Though the square footage of the National Forest is greater than that (per person), the extent to which each vacationer could potentially intrude on another is also greater. Yet, folks share the National Forest, even though some fish, some hike, some camp, and some just relax. A cruise is not like an independent travel vacation I don't think there are many "travel vacations" that are truly "independent." If anything, one would expect the aforementioned National Forest vacation to fit into that category, and of course it does not. Most every vacation venue is patronized by guests with disparate objectives. Another example, Walt Disney World in January hosts honeymooners, Brazilian teens on holiday, young families, and corporate convention-goers. With that in mind, being considerate of your fellow cruisers who are sharing your space is very much like being a good neighbor. Again, that goes for National Forest vacations and Walt Disney World vacations too. -- bicker® http://abcnews.go.com/sections/GMA/D...ry_040602.html |

As a matter of fact, my agreement yesterday that you might be one was the first time I have used the term at all. The important thing about the Oxford dictionary (the really big two-volume one with the itty-bitty type) is can you read it without reading glasses or the magnifier, as I once could?. ;-) |

Hobbits are cute. Trolls are not. I agree, trolls are nasty. We're about to get a bunch of troll roads here in Austin. I refuse to pay a troll. It's outrageous. The worst part is, they'll all be electronic. Oh wait, that's toll. Never mind. --Tom but I don't mind disagreement, and if you may recall, I'm not the first to suggest that you (by your behavior at the time) might be a troll.
