Taxis in Seville?
I am travelling to Seville early in the New Year and the only return flight
available was at 8.20am. I am intending to book an "aparthotel" at the far end of Alameda de Hercules. Given that I will need to leave the centre for the airport at about 6am, this prompts several questions. Will I be able to find a taxi at that time in the morning (my Spanish isn't good enough to ring for one, and the hotel/apartment is probably not big enough to have a 24 hour reception desk)? What are eating facilities like at Seville airport at 7am for breakfast? Or should I book into an airport hotel the night before? Russell |

Or should I book into an airport hotel the night before? -No point doing so, the airport isn't more than a 30 minute drive from where you are and quite possibly less if you are leaving so early. Good luck! www.houseinjerez.com Russell[/quote] |

The airport at Seville is only about 10 minutes away from the city by taxi.
There are no hotels next to the airport. Seville taxi drivers are always hungry for Euros or even Dollars and like the idea of charging extra for early morning trips to the airport. It is probably best to arrange the taxi the previous evening and get to the airport in good time. These are taxi company numbers in Seville 95 467 55 55, 95 458 00 00, or 95 462 22 22 . I am sure you can find english spoken or ask someone to help? Seville airport is normally quiet throughout the day, and it has a self service restaurant plus a coffee bar and I am pretty sure one of these will be open for the basics. There is also another coffee bar open inside the departure waiting hall (after you go through security and just past the duty free shop) . As a matter of interest, the first bus to the airport is scheduled to run at 06.15 and arrive at 06.45 every day. next one is at 06.45 arrives 07.15 but not at weekends. This may be an option and you can see a copy of the route of the airport bus here http://www.spaincostaluz.com/images/...us_seville.gif Maps of Seville are normally showing the East at the top ! The airport is roughly North East and the bus arrives into the cetre near the Santa Justa rail station then proceeds into the centre. This will probably not be an option for you. Can find good maps on the web at http://callejero.paginasamarillas.es/home.asp just add your address details. Buene suerte ! "littlerussell" wrote in message ...
