Default NCL Deployment 2005-06!

Hi Everyone,

I received this press release from Norwegian Cruise Lines and thought
it would be of interest. NCL said it will drop Northern Europe to
concentrate on their "Homeland Cruising" theme but that decision could
change. If you have missed any of my news' postings, they are
available on my web site.

Best regards,
Ray

NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE ANNOUNCES DEPLOYMENT FOR 2005-06
Company's lineup to feature expansion in key Homeland Cruising markets

MIAMI, FL, April 19, 2004
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) today announced its deployment for 2005-06
expanding its presence in the company's key Homeland Cruising markets.
Next year, NCL will deploy three ships in Hawai`i sailing 7-, 10- and
11-day cruises out of Honolulu, put a fourth ship in Alaska with three
ships out of Seattle and one out of Vancouver, continue its position
as a leader in Bermuda with departures from three eastern seaboard
cities and differentiate its Caribbean deployment with innovative
itineraries from five Homeland Cruising ports.

"Homeland Cruising is a core business strategy for the company both
today and as we plan for the future," said Colin Veitch, president and
CEO of NCL. "Our aim is to be the leader in popular cruise
destinations as Hawai`i, Alaska's Inside Passage and Bermuda, and to
offer the widest possible variety of innovative itineraries in the
Caribbean."

Highlights of the deployment include:

Alaska - NCL will feature its largest Alaska deployment ever with four
Freestyle Cruising ships departing from two Homeland Cruising ports -
Seattle and Vancouver - and featuring the industry's only roundtrip
10- and 11-day itinerary out of Seattle and the only Alaska itinerary
with Anchorage (Whittier or Seward) as a port of call. The move
represents an expansion of NCL's Alaska program placing two of its
biggest ships in Alaska for a total of four ships sailing 7-, 10- and
11-day cruises beginning May 2005. The line will place Norwegian Star,
Norwegian Spirit and Norwegian Dream out of Seattle and Norwegian Sun
out of Vancouver. Seven-day itineraries are on sale now. The 10/11 day
itineraries will go on sale on April 26, 2004;

Bermuda - NCL will feature a selection of 52 weekly sailings from
Boston, Philadelphia and New York, the only three-port Bermuda
itinerary and the only sailings to Bermuda from Boston. On sale date
is May 10, 2004;

Hawai`i - NCL will deploy three ships in the Aloha state - Pride of
Aloha, which will continue 7-day roundtrip inter-island cruises from
Honolulu, Norwegian Wind, which will continue her 10- and 11-day
cruises from Honolulu featuring a call in Fanning Island, and Pride of
America. Pride of America's new schedule will be announced in the near
future. Pride of Aloha and Norwegian Wind itineraries go on sale on
May 10, 2004;

Caribbean - NCL will feature its diverse and innovative Caribbean
deployment from five Homeland Cruising ports including Charleston,
Houston, Miami, New Orleans and New York, where NCL will again place
Norwegian Dawn for year round sailings. Caribbean itineraries go on
sale on May 24, 2004;

Mexican Riviera - NCL will deploy Norwegian Star back to Los Angeles,
where she will continue her 8-day exotic itinerary featuring the
industry's only weekly cruise out of Los Angeles to include the
Mexican Rivera's most famous playground, Acapulco, with a full day and
overnight stay. The cruise also includes a call into Zihuatanejo and
the traditional favorites of Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.
Itineraries go on sale on May 17, 2004.

South America - NCL will deploy Norwegian Crown in South America
sailing a series of 14-day Chilean Fjords/Strait of Magellan cruises
and two Panama Canal cruises. Itineraries go on sale on May 17,2004.

As the company's success with Homeland Cruising drives its rapid
expansion in North American ports and key destinations, NCL will not
deploy a ship in Northern Europe for 2005. In the future, that may
change as the company expands its fleet.

professional.
