Default Malaysia second home program.

Hey Miguel have you signed up yet?

Tourism Malaysia said Singaporeans formed the second largest group of
people to sign up for the Malaysia My Second Home scheme in the first
eight months of the year.
The scheme, previously called the Silver-Haired Programme, allows
foreigners to live in Malaysia with a special social visit pass for
five years or more. It also allows them to purchase two properties
worth more than RM250,000 (S$114,000) without the approval from the
Foreign Investment Committee.

Tourism Malaysia, in a statement distributed at the Pacific Asia
Travel Association Travel Mart, said that of the 762 foreigners who
signed up between January and August 2003, 74 were from Singapore, the
second largest group from any single country.

The largest group was from China, where 280 people signed up, and the
third largest was from the UK, where 67 people signed up. Last year,
just 701 foreigners signed up for the programme.
