Default Can I still get on QANTAS standby with Frequent Flyer award ticket?

It does undermine the integrity of the system, whereby people who
REALLY want an 0900 flight which doesn't have availability in that
class will book on the 1200 flight and then show up at 0800.

This is a FF ticket, not a purchased ticket.

Airlines tend to be looser on the rules. Also, the reason for lack of
availability is to allow them to sell the seat.
