Shanghai-- A fishing-village-turned metropolis, Shanghai offers one of
the best examples where the east meets the west, the Chinese meets the
foreign, and the traditional meets the modern. The city equals many of
the world's metropolises in terms of the pace of life and the speed of
change. A Los Angeles Times report in Sept.2001 says that, attracted
by Shanghai's glitz, more than 300,000 Taiwanese, mostly
businesspeople, have settled down in the city in recent years.

Kunming-- Capital of Yunnan Province that boasts 26 minority
mationalities, Kunming is a booming city driven primarily by its
travel industry. Its main attractions include mild climate - the city
is known as the "City of spring", beautiful plateau landscape, and
more importantly, its rich ethnicity. As the venue of the
International Flower Exposition in 1999 and the biannual international
travel fair hosted by China, Kunmin boasts some of the best facilities
for conventions in the country. At a summit meeting of the 10
countries is east Asia in October 2001, it was decided that a railway
will be built linking Singapore and Kunmin passing through Thailand
and Malaysia, a project that calls for an estimated investment of $2.5
billion.

Dali -- .The city has a long history dating back some 1,000 years.
During the Tang Dynasty (618-----907), it was the capital of a small
dingdom in this region called the Kingdom of Nanchao. Apart form being
a backpacker's paradise, the city is attracting a fast-increasing
number of overseas tourists with its natural beauty and the ethnic
culture of the Bai nationality. The area is famous for its natural
beauty and the ethnic culture of the Bai people

Lijiang -- There is no other town in China like Lijiang which
incorporates the folkways of so many people and the architectural
styles of both north and south China. Some say that Lijiang is not
unique just because it is unique in too many ways-- how true that is.

Jiuxiang -- Many tourists say "without visiting Jiuxiang, You will
travel to Yunan to no avail.". Jiuxiang is a newly -opened
comprehensive landscape. It mainly consists of lava caves including
George sight, artificial view and nationalities ' customs. There are
one hundred large or small caves. It has rare lava cave group of
China. It's said to have more scenes than other caves. The charming
landscape and customs will give you the most impressive memory.


Day 1. SHANGHAI to KUNMING (D.)
Fly to Kunming, greeted by the SPRING TOUR guide upon arrival.
Stay at Kunming Jinhua Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 2. KUNMING to CHUXIONG (B. L. D.)
Visit the first wonder in the world----Stone Forest, a typical karst
topography. Taste the well-known tea of Yunnan, and then transfer to
Chuxiong.
Stay at Haoyin Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 3. CHUXIONG to DALI to LIJIANG (B. L. D.)
Transfer to Dali, Gantong Temple, Qingbi Stream; Then transfer to
LIjiang , Visit the Ancient Dayan Town and Square Street.
Stay at Yunnan Aviation Sightseeing Hotel Lijiang or one in the same
class..

Day 4. LIJIANG to ZHONGDIANI (B. L. D.)
Transfer to Zhongdian. Visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the Gulf at the
start of the Yangtze River, Napa Grassland, Songzanlin Temple
Stay at Pacific Rim Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 5. ZHONGDIAN to LIJIANG (B. L. D.)
Visit Shuodu Lake, then transfer to Lijiang
Stay at Yunnan Aviation Sightseeing Hotel Lijiang or one in the same
class..

Day 6. LIJIANG to DALI (B. L. D.)
Visit Yunshan Lawn, the Snow-capped Yulong Mountain, the Gan Sea, the
Baishui River, Yushui Village, Royal Mu's House; then transfer to
Dali.
Stay at Dali Manwan Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 7. DALI to KUNMING (B. L. D.)
Visit Butterfly Spring, Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temples, Acient
Town of Dali, Foreigners' Street and some local residences.
Stay at Kunming Jinhua Hotel or one in the same class.

Day 8. KUNMING to SHANGHAI (B. L.)
Visit Biji Workshop and the culture street about oriental and western
temple & pagoda. Fly back to Shanghai. The pleasant tout ends.
