Default Sydney New Years' Eve

We'll be in Sydney for this coming New Year's Eve- any recommendations
for where we should locate for the fireworks displays that night? Is
the price ($750AUD) worth it for the party/ concert/ dinner at the
Opera House? Anyone have any other ideas that we should consider?
Thanks!

There's a park area overlooking the Opera House that's free and perfect
for getting a view of the Opera house and Bridge during the display.

Gets very crowded though, so get there around 7pm or earlier and bring
plenty of booze

Only choose this package if you want a 'formal' evening. Most
Sydneysiders consider this to be an informal evening, warm summer
evening, lots of drinking and kissing new/old friends.

Anywhere that has access to harbour views will be good viewing of the
fireworks, both 9PM and midnight. Just remember, the closer you get to
the birdge and Opera House the more crowed it will be.

Enjoy the night.

Another option for around the same cost - $699AUD is a party cruise out on
the harbour
