Default charlotte guest house, west hampstead london-- budget accommodation in London

I posted asking about Charlotte Guesthouse before we went to
London--no one replied, but I'm happy to report the place was okay!
It's cheaper than just about any hotel I researched in London, in an
area that isn't right in the thick of museum or theatre district,
clean and respectable. It's actually a bed and breakfast, but it is
budget--check the website for current prices:

If that link doesn't work here's an email address:

For two people ensuite it was about 55 pounds--since we stayed 7
nights in also included a tube/rail pass. They have cheaper prices
for
singles and for shared bathrooms. There was a full breakfast and/or
continental breakfast included in the price. As with any London
place, the rooms were small--think Motel 6 with an even smaller
bathroom, but better breakfast.

The neighborhood was nice, a Sainsbury was within walking distance and
two FABULOUS, good value restaurants were very nearby:

The Banana Tree (Thai food) West End Lane just north of Samatra Road

AND MOST EXCELLENT sheesh kebobs and other middle eastern food:
Karahi Master at 221 West End Lane This one is worth going out of
your way for--if you're in London and crave an excellent meal at good
prices--this one is a winner. We ate there several times and loved
every single item. They have burgers and fries for those that aren't
adventurous.
