Default Connection time of 45 minutes

I have an international flight that has a connection time of 55
minutes. The two trips are on the same airlines Alitalia and in the
same terminal (terminal C).

Is it safe? Would the luggage make it?

Thanks

If these two flights are on a single ticket, then Alitalia is responsible
if you miss your connection. They have to put you on a later flight.

We could answer yes, but as you do not tell us where the connection is...
There is a rec air travel group, much more appropriate.

I recall clearing immigration in Rome (what the OP said) to be
a breeze and customs, too, if you walk thru the door that says,
"Nothing to Declare."

But if they re2qiore hims to pick up his bags and walk them
thru that door ro be rechecked, that is where the problem will
occur. The baggage handlers there, at least last year, were
notoriously slow. It could take 55 minutes for luggage from
the flight to be off-loaded. That may ultimately be Alitalia's,
but to play it safe, avoid checking luggage if you possibly can.

When you reach your final destination be certain to have your hotel or other
local telephone number handy in the unlikely event you need to deal with
missing luggage with the Alitalia folks. s

No clearing for immigration or anything!
Just walking out from one plane to the other. I'm worried about the
unloading and loading of the big luggages that happen behind the scene
from the first plane to second.
