He is talking to the 28,000 U.S. troops on overseas service in South
Korea

Where would you prefer him to be?

SEOUL, South Korea — Celebrating America's Veterans Day

Last I heard Veterans Day is celebrated on the 11th here ET, CT, PT
and most veterans made it back home and still live in the USofA.

Most U.S. troops did make it back home but 37,000 of them died
defending South Korea. You will be amazed to learn that Korea is not
on ET, CT or PT and that includes the 28,00 U.S. troops serving there.

Perhaps it's not surprising that you and the blogger you quote have no
idea where your President is or the time at his location. MSNBC
classed the news as "Asia-Pacific" so maybe none of your local news
services bothered to report it.

*Inside Washington
WASHINGTON -- Today is Veter ans Day. Do you know where your president
is?

With his feeble flame of "hope" thoroughly doused here in the United
States by last week's elections, President Obama has set out around
the globe in search of throngs still enthralled by his flowery
rhetoric.

He found them, of course, in Indonesia this week by telling them about
how Americans must stop mistrusting Islam.

So that is why your president is halfway around the world instead of
being here in the United States to celebrate the sacrifices American
soldiers, sailors and airmen have made around the world to keep the
real, still-burning flame of freedom alive...."

Obama spent Veterans day talking to some of our troops serving
overseas. That seems entirely appropriate to me.

On the other hand, what is our former torturer-in-chief doing on
Veterans Day? *It looks to me like he spent his time peddling his new
book and claiming his optional wars were a great idea, and that
sending our kids to die in Iraq and Afghanistan made us safer.

"Former Pres. Bush even did his best to ruin our fighting force,
because by breaking faith with our soldiers by advancing a war that
should have never been fought, disgracing this country through Abu
Ghraib, it’s difficult to inspire people to enlist, our standards
having to be lowered because of Mr. Bush, a man who sullied his own
service through unanswered questions.

But to relive the full extent of Pres. Bush’s earned mantle of the
worst president in U.S. history you have to relive the story of
Valerie Plame and Joseph Wilson, two patriots who Bush and Cheney,
Scooter Libby and Karl Rove, decided were expendable. Two true
American patriots I have met and interviewed for whom respect is too
small a word. For telling the truth Joe Wilson was hounded, his CIA
wife cover blown and exposed, their lives upended and their family put
in danger, all because Mr. Wilson dared to expose the facts.

On this Veterans Day, as Mr. Bush parades himself on TV, acting as if
being the Decider in Chief when compared to the decisions he made is
anything for which he should boast, we owe it to our Soldiers to
remember the truth. . . ."
