Tracing the mystery of the “The Lord of the Rings”*^.^*
Day 1 Shanghai/Seoul/Auckland
Fly to Auckland via OZ Day 2 Auckland Arrive in New Zealand where you will be met at Auckland international airport and transferred to your first night’s accommodation in Auckland Day3 Auckland/bay of Islands Your tour departs north across Auckland harbor bridge en rout to the beautiful Bay of Islands. Visit ther Kauri Museum, which houses the world’s largest collection of Kauri gum and fine Kauri furniture before continuing on through the Waipoua Kauri Forest you will see the giant Kauris, some of which are over 1,000 years old. The colorful holiday resort of Paihia is your last stop. Day 4 Bay of Islands This morning you board your boat for a picturesque cruise through the sheltered Bay waters, before(subject ot ocean conditions) heading out to Cape Brett and through the “Hole in the Rock” a famous natural formation. You arrive back in Paihia early afternoon and have the afternoon at leisure. Time to explore the Paihia waterfront; do a spot of fishing, or visit a historic Russell. Day 5 Bay of Islands- Auckland Visit the Waitangi Treaty House where the British and Maori people signed one of New Zealand’s moist important documents in 1840. journey south back to Auckland via Whangarei, along the scenic Kaipara Coast then down through the beautiful vineyard areas of Waimaoku and Huapai. There will be time available to browse around downtown Auckland before proceeding to your overnight accommodation Day 6 Auckland/Waitomo/ Rotorua The days starts wit a short sightseeing tour of Auckland before traveling south through the rich Waikato farming region via Ngaruawahia, home of the Maori Queen and Turangawaewae Marae. A short stop at allows a visit to the world famous Waitomo Glow Worm Cave. Here you glide by boat through the darkness lit by thousand of tiny glowworms. Your journey continues over the bush-clad Manaku Ranges and onto Rotorua., which is the center of New Zealand’s thermal regions. Tonight enjoy a Maori concert and sample a Hangi-style dineer. Day 7 Rotorua Rotorua is a foully fascination place- where the molten heat beneath the earth’s crust surface in boiling mud pools and steaming geysers. Today’s sightseeing includes the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve and Maori arts and crafts Institute, followed by an opportunity to view and hand feed giant trout in their natural surroundings at Par5adise Valley Springs. Next stop is a visit to the Agrodome to see the performing sheep and display of New Zealand’s farming methods. The remainder of the afternoon is free to relax or to explore more of this thermal wonderland. A visit to the therapeutic waters of Rotorua’s Polynesian Spa complex is very popular. Day 8 Rotorua-Wellington Depart south from Rotorua via Huka falls and along side Lake Taupo which is New Zealand’s largest freshwater lake. Continuing your pass on Mt. Raupehu and Mt. Ngauruhoe, both of which are semi active volcanoes, then down the Kapiti Coast ot Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Wellington including a visit to Te papa,New Zealand’s National Museum. Day 9 Wellington/ Auckland/home Transferred to Wellington airport and connect the flight to Auckland Day 10 Auckland to Shanghai Return to your sweet home |
