cheap flight advice? India, Southeast Asia
I'm in the early planning stages for a touring trip to an undecided
country(ies). I'd like it to be in the Bay of Bengal vicinty, and I'll stay as long as $5000 USD will allow, which includes airfare to and from Philadelphia, USA. Since I want the airfare to eat as little of my proposed spending, my destination might be decided on account of flight affordability. Any suggestions? |

flights to Dhaka (Bangladesh) are quite cheap from here (europe) if you're
willing to fly dangerously (BIMAN airlines) if you have a few days to spa take a flight to Mumbai or Delhi and catch an indian train (veeery cheap) eastbound. "axoplasm" wrote in message ... Flights from the US to major East Asian and Southeast Asian cities cost about the same: Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Taipei... These tickets are as low as US $600-700 depending on the season. Flights from the US to the Indian subcontinent are usually around US $1100-1300. If money's scarce and time isn't, get a cheap flight to London or Bangkok and then get a flight to India from there. However, the cost of travel in different Asian countries varies greatly, and unless your trip is very short the differences in cost of transport, food and accomodation between countries will make a much greater difference in your budget than the cost of the flight. |
