Carnival Cruise Line announced that it has changed the itinerary of the
Carnival Celebration cruise departing Aug. 17 due to a technical problem
with the propulsion system on the previous sailing. The line said this
change is only impacting the cruising speed. All other systems and hotel
services are operating normally. Carnival's technical team is working on the
problem, but repairs will not be completed prior to this cruise. Due to the
reduced cruising speed, Carnival said it will be forced to cancel the ship's
scheduled call in Freeport, Bahamas. Instead, it will offer a visit to
Nassau on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Carnival will provide
guests who sail on this new cruise with a $100 per person credit to their
onboard Sail & Sign account. In addition, guests that sail will receive a 20
percent discount off a future three- to seven-day Carnival cruise (excluding
Alaska, Christmas and New Years) departing prior to Dec. 13, 2007. This
discount applies to the cruise fare only. Shore excursions pre-purchased for
Freeport will be automatically refunded to guests' Sail & Sign account. For
more information, visit www.carnival.com or www.bookccl.com.
