stability, posh benefits packages, and in many cases, average salaries
that are higher than what the same job pays in the private sector.

If one is in the private sector, wages can be garnished by government
mandate on the employer for unpaid taxes of employees, As a former
CFO of a public corporation I distinctly recall getting these demands
on our employees from government mandating our compliance to withhold
as employers over the years.

What the hell is going on here? Another special "exemption" for this
thing called government?
