Default South Luangwa from Malawi

Hello all,

this summer I'll visit Malawi and from there we'd like to visit the South
Luangwa NP in Zambia, which is said to be an excellent park for viewing
wildlife.

Now how easy is it to reach South Luangwa from Malawi (probably by rented
car)? How are road conditions? Any experience with the border crossing?

Thanks.

Regards,
David

Also: any recommendations on (not-too-expensive) accomodation in/near South
Luangwa? Flatdogs Camp seems like a good and rather cheap place to stay,
does anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks!

Bye,
David

Hi David,

you'll need a 4x4 when you travel this summer. Roads are very bad during the
rains, big potholes etc.
Border crossings are no problems.

South-Luangwa is indeed a great park to visit. Go on a night-drive, to spot
the leopards, they have plenty there!

Regards,
Corné.
