Default HOTEL & AUBERGE KSAR BICHA A MERZOUGA (SUD MAROC.)

SALUT A TOUS.

We will be travelling to marocco for 16 days from Spain. Flying in and
out of Marrakech. We were thinking of time in Marrakech, Fes, high anti
and middle atlas (volubilis?) plus the Dades gorges, ouarzazate. DO you
have any other suggestions (it is our first time in Marocco)? I will look
into the accommodation you suggest at Mezouga

thanks

Tony

Ouarzazate itself is not really worth staying. It's a central point for
tours in big south Morocco. You can see everything nice here in one day
(Ait Ben Haddou, Taourirt, and if you want / can the movie studio). I
recommend the transfer from Dades Gorges to Todgha in 4 wheels... it's one
of my best memories in Morocco.

Thank you Marie-Aude. The oasis de mezgarne looks intriguing.

Thanks for the advice, Peter. We will be staying three nights in
Marrakech. After that not sure, but probably taking your advice doing a
loop into the high atlas and the east to Ksar Bicha in Merzouga and then
south to the Draa valley and then the coast.

Any recommnendations further south in the Souss valley and anti atlas?
Were there any particular walks in the mountains that you enjoyed?

I have ridden a camel in central Australia (one with Afghan rather than
Moroccan ancestors...)

cheers,

Tony
