Default Edmonton Folk Festival Next Week

Edmonton's venerable folk festival is at hand! It takes place in
Gallagher Park near downtown running from Thursday August 9 through
Sunday August 12. Some of the many performers this year are Buffy St.
Marie, Nancy Griffith, Blue Rodeo and nonpareil acoustic guitarist
Martin Simpson. Lots more. See www.edmontonfolkfest.org

I have even heard a rumour that mentally handicapped individuals will
be admitted free, great news if it's true for "George" and his
"Stabmonton" ilk if they are willing to strap on their knife-proof
vests, grab their soothers and security blankets and head on down!

Attendees will stand a good chance of being brutalised by the rogue thugs of
the Edmonton Police farce.
