Scenic Hotel in Colorado
Looking for a relatively quiet, scenic place in the mountains to stay in
Colorado for a week. I've stayed in Colorado Springs several times before but would rather find some place less busy. Looking for a place with nearby hiking, perhaps a lake, but also someplace to just sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Coming in through Denver so eastern or central CO would be best. |

Forgot to mention - Mid-August time frame. Here is a spot just north and west of Fort Collins. Likely they would have anything from hotel like rooms (nice) to single family residences for short term rental. http://www.foxacres.com/ |

A few years ago we stayed at the Fawn Valley Inn in Estes Park. It was quite nice. It was quite nice. We could sit on the balcony and view the mountains. Elk come right through the property. It is just outside the entrance to and is surround by Rocky Mountain National Park. There are lots of nice hiking trials in the park. Almost next door to the hotel is a stable with horse back trail rides up the mountain. I enjoyed my stay there. http://www.rockymtnresorts.com/locat...wn-valley-inn/ |

We stayed at the Trail Ridge Inn in Estes Park a few years ago. Nothing
fancy but clean and close to the entrance to RMNP. http://www.alpinetrailridgeinn.com/activities.html "Erehwon" wrote in message ... "Erehwon" wrote in message ... Redstone, south of Glenwood Springs, is a very nice location. We had a family reunion at the Redstone Cliffs Lodge and were pleased. If you want to spend more, the Redstone Inn is fancy and has gourmet food! |
