Second hand shopping in Melbourne

I will be visiting Melbourne soon, and I always enjoy doing a little
second hand clothes shopping. Would anyone care to recommend some
second hand stores? Thanks!

One of the best markets isn't 'second hand' but it's a *must see* and that
is the Queen Victoria Market. Ask anyone in Melbourne about it. We got some
very good clothing items, very inexpensive and new.

With Victoria Market, South Melbourne Market and Chapel
Street (just to mention a few of many) for new clothes, why
would you want to buy second-hand? Are you a re-seller?

If you are serious, I suggest you contact the Salvation Army
Red Shield stores (they have a massive one out towards
Dandenong IIRC) or the St Vincent de Paul organisation. You
should be able to find them via google or

Not second-hand, but there are lots of clothing manufacturers' factory outlet
shops in Bridge Road, Richmond (near the Church Street corner).

Thanks for some great tips! I'm not looking to re-sell, I was asking
about second hand clothes because it's a great way of finding unique
