My Regatta Survivor 35 also fits. Wizz insisted in checking, but it fitted their measuring thing. Ditto my Blacks somethingorother 35, at least making sure not to overstuff the pockets. Theo |

Ryanair using the absolute maximum was shown up in an AAIB Incident Report: these show the hours in the previous 28 day period. -- Tim http://tim-fenton.fotopic.net/ http://timsworkspace.fotopic.net/ http://timfentonstractiondepot.fotopic.net/ New! Ryanair to abolish check-in desks
In message , at 08:43:04 on Sun, 22 Feb
2009, Roland Perry writes From the Ryanair website - the current list of who *can't* check in online (each will have a reason, whether immediately obvious or not) with infants at no 4: [passengers without an EU/EAA/Swiss passport or ID card] * Passengers travelling with checked baggage * Children aged between 14 to 17 years travelling alone * Passengers travelling with infants * Passengers travelling with mobility equipment (including children's pushchairs) * Passengers with reduced mobility, blind/vision impaired passengers including those travelling with a sighted companion or guide dog * Passengers who require special assistance at the airport * Online Check-In is not available from Romanian or Moroccan airports. * Passengers travelling on a passport which is due to expire within 30 days from the date of travel. * When there are more than 9 passengers booked in a reservation * Passengers travelling on the same reservation with a passenger who is not entitled to Online Check-in. * Passengers who have booked and extra seat for the carriage of musical instruments etc. or for comfort. ... so every single one of those will have to be overcome to introduce online-only check in. Well, they've solved the third one (unaccompanied 14-17 year olds) by changing the rule to: Under 16 - Can't fly 16+ - Can now do online check-in. -- Roland Perry |

Ryanair to abolish check-in desks
In message , at 16:35:01 on Sun, 22 Feb
2009, Roland Perry remarked: I'll report back on my Easyjet flight today. I obviously looked like a soft target because I was swooped upon while waiting at the gate by a 'supervisor' who said I would have to check one of my bags (rollerbag or laptop) as there was a limit of one. "You agreed the terms and Conditions" he said. A few other people had more than one carryon and weren't challenged. BMIbaby irritating me again today. At the gate they let through a lady with a *huge* holdall plus a shopping-bag sized handbag, then insisted I put my IATA-sized rollerbag in the gauge. It fitted, of course. And at the plane was a lady with a baby plus three carry-ons and a pushchair sigh. -- Roland Perry |

Only on a moral basis that they're rotten to their staff. Really, no civil pilot is likely to fly in such a way/state that their passengers would be in danger, as *they* would also be in danger.
