Killing thousands of innocent people with nerve gas is no laughing matter, and fortunately the people in power are not as ignorant as you are. It's a "No Brainer" that we were next. Why wait until they unleash nerve gas here, they were already sending anthrax, or did you forget about that? B.O. Does B O stand for Body Odor? Or IQ Barely Over 10? I've posted this before, but you probably didn't see it, or understand it. We've known about what Hussein did to his people for years. Yet we still bankrolled him when he invaded Iran. Why? Because at that time he was our friend and Iran was our enemy, so no one cared about the atrocities he was committing on his own people. Why didn't daddy Bush take him out in the gulf war, when no one around the world would've had a problem with it? One more thing genius. The Taliban committed many atrocities to their people, yet this current administration gave 43 million to them 6 months prior to 9/11 so they wouldn't grow poppy seeds used to make heroin. Apparently nothing was more important than the so-called war on drugs. PLease post anything to refute this. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? |

How many thousands of innocent people needed to be killed by gases before it was considered a worthy cause? When you can kill thousands of people with little effort, I would say that is a weapon of mass destruction. Nobody argues that Sadam kill thousands of Kurds. There are, unfortunately, plenty of governments that have killed tens of thousands of civilians. Of course, when President Clinton attempted to stop genocides in places like Somalia and Bosnia, candidates like Governor Bush criticized the former president for getting the U.S. bogged-down in "nation-building." We're not the world's policeman. Would you have rather waited until he used it in the U.S.? I guess you forgot about the anthrax that was sent through the postal service. I guess you forgot that no serious anti-terrorism authority has claimed that the anthrax attacks were sponsored by Saddam Hussein. |

At New York's Kennedy airport today, an individual later discovered to be a public school teacher was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square, a slide rule, and a calculator. Funny, funny post. Sad thing is that my 17 year old niece got stopped at security because of a calculator in her book bag. They would not let her through security with it. She told them they could toss it, but they wouldn't do that, either. Meanwhile, we had already gone back to the car because we thought we had seen her get through security ok (it took about an hour to get through). She called us, in tears, to come back into the terminal to help her. They were going to make her go back to the beginning of the security line. At that point, her flght was expected to leave in ten minutes or so. So, my husband went to the guards, took the calculator and begged them to let her through so she wouldn't miss the flight. A CALCULATOR!!! Unbelievable. Lee |

Fortunately the people who know what goes on in the world have the power to do something about it rather than wait until a weapon of mass destruction like poison gas is released in NYC killing millions. News Release: Teacher Arrested! At New York's Kennedy airport today, an individual later discovered to be a public school teacher was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square, a slide rule, and a calculator. At a morning press conference, Attorney general John Ashcroft said he believes the man is a member of the notorious al-gebra movement. He is being charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction. "Al-gebra is a fearsome cult," Ashcroft said. "They desire average solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in a search of absolute value. They use secret code names like 'x'and 'y' and refer to themselves as 'unknowns', but we have determined they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, 'there are 3 sides to every triangle'." When asked to comment on the arrest, President Bush said, "If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes." The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? Just in case, I didn't come up with this. Found it somewhere and thought some others might like it. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? |

The answer is probably, as is usually the case, somewhere in the middle. Dan |
